Preparing For Your Trip
Packing List
- Helmet: The use of helmets is strongly recommended. Children age 14 and under must wear a winter sport protective helmet while participating in ski & ride school, subject to local regulations. In addition, children and teens under age 18 who participate in designated children's classes or programs must wear a helmet. Rental helmets are available at our children's ski school locations for your convenience.
- Warm clothes including moisture wicking base layers, mid layers to trap body heat, and water-resistant outerwear, warm calf-high socks, and gloves or mittens.
- Goggles or sunglasses
- Sunscreen is recommended, even on cloudy days.
- Don’t have your own gear? Rent with Mt Brighton and let our experts fit you with the best boots, skis or snowboard for your best day on the mountain.
- Lift Access: Lift tickets can be purchased online here. Anyone accessing any location on the snow must have a valid lift ticket. All lesson participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass. Group Lessons can purchase their ticket as a part of their package.

Arriving on Mountain
Once you park in our front parking lot, you will find yourself facing our Ticket Window, where you can purchase lift tickets and rentals. Looking to save on cost and time at the window? Purchase your ticket and rental online in advance! Express Lift Ticket Pickup is available for lift tickets purchased less than 9 days in advance.
Already have your gear and Epic pass/lift ticket card? Park in the front parking lot and take the stairs in the middle breezeway, between our Ticket Window and Picnic Area buildings, right down to the hill!
The More You Snow
- Ski like a local! Locals know that one of the highest points in Livingston County can be found at Mt. Brighton, take in amazing sunsets from top of chair 2 or 3.
- Be sure to plan your day in advance. You can plan your day be exploring this site – secure your equipment rentals, lift tickets and lessons ahead of arrival. This will save money and save time.
- Download the MyEpic App and check the alerts to get the latest real-time updates on the mountain.
- New to the sport? Schedule a lesson. It is the very best way for you to fall in love with the sport and return for a second visit. (We want to see you come back!)
- Dress in layers to make it easy for you to adjust and stay comfortable.
