2009 - 2010 Junior Race Program

XLR8 Web Site:
THE NEXT STEP! Team XLr8 provides budding young ski racers (ages 7-17) one day of coaching each week in a fun, active environment. Our goal is to develop solid all-around skills by using a variety of skiing drills and progressions by taking advantage of all the areas terrain. Participants train primarily in the giant slalom as a foundation for ski racing technique, and are also introduced to slalom gate training. Team XLr8 Racing is an appropriate stepping stone from Mogul Mouse into NASTAR recreational racing and more competitive circuits. Skiers are grouped by age and their ability during the first weeks of the season, and ski with the same professional coaches throughout the season for consistency and individual attention. The program skis on Sundays from 11:00am until 1:00pm. The first day of training for the 2009/2010 ski season is Sunday, January 3,2010 with Sunday training sessions through early March (weather permitting).
